AKQA announces Rachel Barek as General Manager

AKQA promotes Carlos Matias to International Design Director

AKQA announces the promotion of Rachel Barek to General Manager of AKQA’s Washington, D.C. office. She previously held the position of Director of Client Services.

Rachel takes on the responsibility of helping clients create the future by driving forward ideas, products and services as well as continuing to develop the culture and client relationships. With over 100 full-time employees, Rachel and the DC office proudly partners with renowned Fortune 500 clients. She will continue to report into Erik Rogstad, Managing Director, AKQA.

Rachel has more than 17 years of experience within the digital industry. Prior to joining AKQA six years ago, she held senior marketing and account positions leading digital efforts to drive brand strategy on both the agency and client sides. Rachel mentors and speaks to students and marketers from a wide range of institutions about the ever-changing industry.
