Head of Client Services

Our Los Angeles studio is seeking a Head of Client Services to counsel our clients and lead the development of marketing strategies, campaigns and projects and experiences. The Head of Client Services should have exceptional interpersonal communication, prior team leadership experience, and project leadership skills with an aptitude towards strategic thinking, problem solving and the ability to facilitate multiple projects simultaneously.

The Head of Client Services will lead a small account services team to secure and grow key accounts in the studio while managing, mentoring, and coaching each team member. You will develop relationships with our key clients as a representative of the management team, tweak and manage the successful standardization of the overall client experience, grow the existing account base, and participate in both new business and client strategy development, presentation, and delivery. ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrate a growth focused mindset with the ability to establish and build accounts from the ground up, while delivering on annual targets through organic growth opportunities.

 

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • 8-10 years industry experience, currently operating at GAD level and at +3 years leading a minimum of three pieces of client business demonstrating year-on-year growth
  • 2+ years working on account with true ‘lead agency’ status
  • 5+ years working in digital marketing
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team
  • Effectively evaluate AKQA’s work and provide justifiable and actionable feedback
  • Build strong relationships with C-level clients
  • Inspire both the internal team and the client
  • Manage, develop and mentor senior members of the Account Team
  • Successfully manage multiple teams of more than +6 people
  • Demonstrate strong fiscal management skills, understanding/respecting the economics of our business and contributing in a way that supports the financial model
  • Ability to accurately plan and forecast revenue, consistently creates solid revenue forecasts across a portfolio of work, with accurate representation of committed vs. upside/downside revenue
