The Office Manager has an excellent opportunity to contribute to the AKQA Amsterdam team. The Office Manager is Amsterdam's primary office services member and front desk host. The Office Manager should enjoy supporting and helping both employees and visitors/guests, have an excellent command of people skills, must be a self-starter and have impeccable attention to detail and is responsible for the basic upkeep and maintenance of the Amsterdam office.  


  • Make sure Reception is covered at all times.
  • Assures all calls are answered professionally and promptly, routed to proper individuals, and takes messages when necessary.
  • Greet all visitors in a friendly and professional manner, establishing professional relationships with regular clients.
  • Create a 5 star experience on the front desk for clients and employees. 
  • Run invoicing and payment tracker. Work with finance to ensure timely payment.
  • Set up meeting rooms when guests are expected. 
  • Arrange catering when requested. 
  • In charge of organizing team events such as the Summer and Christmas party. 
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with organizing external events, such as Portfolio Night.
  • Make sure the office looks tidy and representative at all times. 
  • Manage the day to day operations of the office.
  • Assist HR Manager with set up new hires. 
  • Maintain office supplies, stationary, business cards, AKQA branded paper/envelopes and inventory.
  • Manage and plan weekly deliveries. 
  • Liaise with IT on issues, moves etc. 
  • Manage building resources, becoming the point of contact for all building services, placing maintenance requests.
  • Assist HR and IT with day to day requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.



  • Dutch native speaker, fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Punctuality a must.
  • Professional, friendly and positive (over the phone and in person).
  • Professionally attired.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly working environment.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow up skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Keynote.
