As a Strategy Director  you will frame problems in unexpected ways and be relied upon for clarity, leadership, and perspective by the internal team and clients. Serving as strategic lead on global accounts, you will use both qualitative and quantitative research to answer questions, prove or disprove hypotheses, and mine insights. But you will also have space to innovate, bringing an unconventional thinking for unconventional ideas.

  • Act as strategic lead on all Bloom projects: digital, social, traditional media, non tradition, and activations
  • Collaborate across teams, departments and agencies to encourage the best work and output
  • Work with and mentor junior strategists. Guide their deliverables and development
  • Provide information and perspective on the work's effectiveness. Share knowledge and expertise on the target audience and trends within digital and social media with the internal team and client
  • Build and foster client relationships by networking with current and new clients, to establish clear expectations, instill a sense of partnership to ensure the client trusts the approach and that the desired strategy is developed.  Regularly schedule assessments with clients to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of projects and advertising programs
  • Provide perspective from experience in the advertising industry, with an emphasis on developing global integrated marketing ideas and brand strategy.  Use cultural insights to create innovative marketing ideas.  Analyze and evaluate data from client assessments to communicate with the Planning Department about successful strategies as well as areas requiring improvement
  • ‘Bring to life the target audience,’ meaning he/she will share his/her knowledge and expertise on the audiences that are most likely to be responsive to a client’ advertisement based on current and prior trends.  Communicate across to the client or through work product what the strategy is for reaching a desired audience.  Ensure that the strategy strengthens the clients’ identity and brand name.  Liaise with clients regarding advertising strategies and advertising objectives overall.  Analyze data to understand customer and market opportunities for the company and our clients
  • Identify the procedures that are helpful in producing deliverables, as well as areas where we could improve or streamline the process.  Guide the team to develop tangible end-products for each project. Monitor projects to minimize any disruption or delay to the achievement of goals and deliverables



  • Ability to understand the dynamics of a client’s business and the sector in which it operates
  • Understands how business, brands and customers interact, with a deep knowledge of the role that technology plays in this relationship
  • Experience in gathering multiple sources of information and turning it into insight and ideas
  • Can provide strategic direction on specific initiatives, identifying the key message or proposition and the best means to communicate or demonstrate this
  • Can translate strategic recommendations concerning online experiences into actionable content and / or function
  • Can clearly and persuasively communicate strategic recommendations to internal and external audiences with variable levels of understanding
  • Familiarity with the application and analysis of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques
  • Ability to design and implement measurement plans
  • 15+ years experience in a planning discipline, with an online, direct marketing, product development or research background.
  • 5+ years managing, leading and inspiring a team
  • A proven track-record of generating “customer insight” and detailed recommendations on the basis of research findings
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to work with senior clients, are essential requirements
  • A background in the concepting, design, development and improvement of web-based services, products and solutions is advantageous
