Foodstuffs win Sitecore Ultimate Experience Award

Foodstuffs wins Sitecore Best Commerce Experience

Foodstuffs North Island and AKQA have won the Sitecore Ultimate Experience Award for the APAC region.

Sitecore Experience Awards recognise teams that build customer-centric solutions and deliver industry-leading business results using Sitecore technology.

The winning work, an integrated omnichannel experience, enables a local vibe, at a national scale for Foodstuffs, and Pak’nSave customers. The platform creates a connection between personalised, inspirational and promotional content for shoppers to make online transactions, interact with shoppable recipes, articles and shopping list builders. Designed to give customers an optimised experience, and delivering what matters — more time, choice, convenience, and value as well as helping to make healthier food choices.

Paul Bartlett, Head of Digital Transformation, Foodstuffs North Island, said: “This achievement could not have been possible if not for the dedication and tenacity of both the Foodstuffs North Island and AKQA team who collaborated as one to overcome any obstacles that got in the way.”

Brian Vella, AKQA Managing Partner, said: “We have been working with Foodstuffs NZ for three years helping create the best experiences for their community. In a short space of time, we’ve been able to innovate and implement a leading business transformation or New Zealand’s major grocery retailer, and one of the country’s largest and most loved organisations.”

Stephen Forth, AKQA Managing Director, New Zealand, said: “This project evidences the successful partnership between AKQA, Foodstuffs North Island and Foodstuffs New Zealand. The ambitious culture set from the leadership team at Foodstuffs led to the creation of this award-winning platform. The partnership highlights the strength of the hybrid team model, where agencies and clients work together to create high functioning, high-performing solutions.”
