AKQA awarded at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity
AKQA has received 27 awards at this years Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Grey has been recognised with 21 Cannes Lions, receiving five Gold, seven Silver and nine Bronze Lions. AKQA has been honoured with three Silver Lions. The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity champions creative excellence setting the definitive global benchmark for creativity that drives progress. Ingo was also awarded one Gold and two Bronze Lions.
Free Fire’s first-ever campaign, The Real Air Drop, was awarded two Silver Lions, turning the game into a reality: Airdrops were made available all over Brazil, in different cities every day. When a digital plane flew by, gamers pointed their phones up to the sky and captured drops that went straight into their in-game wallets, gifting virtual items to Free Fire fans. The app combined users’ geolocation with actual flight data to create the highly awaited moments.
Sonho was awarded a Silver Lion, following Nego Bala’s story as a juvenile detention centre inmate. At age 11, Nego Bala wrote the lyrics for Sonho (meaning Dream). With a sensibility capable of transforming tragedy into poetry and knowledge, the film has the mission of inspiring others never to stop dreaming and showing that talent exists anywhere, what is lacking is equality in opportunities.
Silver Lions were awarded to Grey for Child Marriage Prevention Loan, A Chat Away From Everything, The Resell Tag, The Pringlesonic Chip, Aquafresh Fotune Telling and Fancy Like and The Emancipation Loan.
Grey also received Bronze Lions for work on Widen The Screen: The Program, The Emancipation Loan, Empty Chairs, Finger Puppets, Jab Jab, The Resell Tag, Never Sent Without Consent and Child Marriage Prevention Loan.
