Faith, feminism and fashion

“Be a voice, not an echo.”

Entrepreneur Ruth Awogbade joined AKQA’s team and clients for an inspiring discussion on her work as founder and editor-in-chief of Magnify, the lifestyle platform designed to inspire women through faith, feminism and fashion.

Hosted by AKQA’s Aivory Gaw, the session saw Ruth reflect on the growth of her company since inception in 2009, tracing Magnify’s journey from a small events house to a recognised creative force, encompassing print publication, meetings and digital content.

Ruth shared thoughts about the power of high-end editorial artistry to inspire, and her mission to transform the way modern women engage with faith. Sharing her views on the evolution of feminism over the past decade, Ruth discussed the benefits of inclusive conversations, welcoming and celebrating a diversity of backgrounds and opinions. She concluded with a message about the importance of listening – whether to mentors, teams or those with different beliefs – and how it can enrich dialogues enabling positive change to happen.
