Roman Ptakowski promoted to Managing Partner, AKQA Atlanta

AKQA has announced the promotion of Roman Ptakowski to the role of Managing Partner in North America after nearly five years of leading the Atlanta studio as Managing Director.

As Managing Partner of AKQA’s Atlanta studio, Roman will report to AKQA President, North America Tesa Aragones, with a particular focus on delivering industry-defining experiences in partnership with clients.

During his tenure, AKQA has launched pioneering programs that have transformed the digital landscape for clients such as Delta Air Lines, Coca-Cola, and UPS. Roman has played a key role in expanding the Atlanta office and cultivating an engaged, diverse and inclusive studio culture. A visionary leader and collaborator, he is passionate about creating career development opportunities for all team members.

In addition to his Managing Director role, Roman was appointed Global Client Lead for The Coca-Cola Company in partnership with Open X by WPP in 2022. In this role, during this time, he led a global team within AKQA to deliver industry-leading solutions for Coca-Cola, while creating new opportunities for studios across AKQA.

AKQA plans to double the number of people working at its studios in the U.S. over the next five years, and recent hires and promotions reflect the strength of opportunity in the region.
