Private healthcare
We offer health cover to all employees, which gives prompt access to specialist medical treatment should you ever need it. Everyone can enjoy the same comprehensive cover, regardless of their previous medical history. You can also include your partner and family on the scheme (at an additional cost to you).

Mental health
Becoming overwhelmed by stress can lead to mental health problems or make existing problems worse. AKQA has a number of places for you to reach support and advice when you need it.

Doctor app
AKQA offers free access to doctors 24/7 through an app, providing medical advice, answering questions and giving employees peace of mind.

Eye tests and glasses
Employees are entitled to a free yearly eye test and funds towards a pair of glasses if they are required for computer use.

Flu jab
AKQA offers employees yearly free flu jabs to maximise the chance of everyone having a healthy winter.

Gym membership
Employees have access to a subsidised gym membership, whether to shape up or de-stress.

Equipment
We provide a Macbook and an iPhone or smartphone if your role requires it. To make your working environment at home as comfortable as possible, AKQA contributes towards equipment to get you set up, including your internet costs.

Dogs in the studio
Being around our pets can reduce stress, increase cognitive abilities and social interaction and counteract depression and anxiety. That’s why AKQA welcomes employees to bring dogs into the studio.

Managers can significantly impact business outcomes, employee engagement, and performance. We ensure all line managers have the opportunity to attend a four-module programme, teaching them skills to become effective managers.

Personal development workshops
These workshops run regularly, covering a wide range of topics, including Presentation Skills, The Art of Communication, Unconscious Bias, and Mental Health First Aid. Access to Danish language tuition is also available.

LinkedIn Learning, Udemy and Coursera
Everyone can benefit from our subscription to LinkedIn Learning – an online training platform that providing thousands of courses. AKQA also gives you access to Udemy and Coursera, online platforms that provide an extensive list of accredited courses by Google and more.

We offer team and individual development opportunities, including one to ones with qualified coaches, industry-related events and accredited qualifications. Plus, a yearly budget for activities that contribute to professional development.
Lifestyle choices

Annual holiday
We offer 30 days’ holiday per year plus bank holidays; three of these days are used over Christmas to ensure that everyone has the entire period from Christmas Day to the New Year off.

Fruit, tea and coffee
Complimentary fresh fruit, herbal teas and drinks are available with milk alternatives such as soya and almond. There are also multiple coffee machines throughout the studio.

Short term breaks
An extended leave period can be requested, between six and 12 weeks long.

Long service awards
To recognise our long servers, we also celebrate five, ten, fifteen, and twenty years milestones with a reward.

Wedding day off
AKQA employees can take two days of paid leave to celebrate their wedding.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Groups across our network unite employees around a shared identity or interest. We host regular events, breakfasts and more, including an annual trip to a European country to visit our AKQA family. A Subsidised Employee Club features activities from paintball to winetasting.

Pension
We offer a generous pension scheme that employees will be added to from their first day and can also increase their contribution level. The scheme also includes income protection for time off work due to illness or injury.

Maternity policy and primary carer leave
New mothers are entitled to five months of full pay as maternity leave plus ten months of leave partially paid. Employees can decide how to distribute the fully paid period before and or after the birth; the additional ten months can be used up until your child is 12 years old.

Paternity Policy and secondary carer leave
New parents are entitled to five days of paid leave immediately after their baby is born.

Parental leave
Parents are entitled to four weeks of unpaid leave per year per child.

Life Assurance
As an AKQA employee, you are eligible for our life assurance scheme. This entitles someone nominated to receive a payment of four times your annual salary.

Child care
If your child is unwell and you need to take time to care for them, we offer one day paid leave.
