Health and wellbeing

To keep you active and healthy both physically and mentally.

Healthcare

We offer private health cover, including rehabilitation insurance. Everyone can enjoy the same comprehensive cover, regardless of previous medical history. Family members can be included (at an additional cost).

Eye tests and glasses

Employees are entitled to a free yearly eye test and funds towards a pair of glasses.

Wellness allowance

The purpose of the wellness allowance is to stimulate and inspire regular physical activity. The maximum amount is SEK 5,000 per employee each calendar year.

Becoming overwhelmed by stress can lead to mental health problems or worsen existing issues. AKQA has many places for employees to reach out for support and advice.

Dogs in the studio

Being around our pets can reduce stress, increase cognitive abilities and social interaction and counteract depression and anxiety. That’s why AKQA welcomes employees to bring dogs into the studio.

Annual holiday

We offer 30 days’ holiday per year plus bank holidays. Ten of these days are used over the summer period where the studio is closed for two weeks.

Hybrid working

We believe in the benefits of both in-studio collaboration and flexible remote work. Our hybrid working model allows our team to work up to two days per week from home.

Recruitment referral scheme

We pay a financial bonus if you refer a candidate who ends up being permanently employed by AKQA.

Long service awards

To recognise our long servers, we celebrate five, ten, fifteen, and twenty years milestones with a financial reward.

Fruit, tea and coffee

Complimentary fresh fruit, herbal teas and drinks are available with milk alternatives. There are coffee machines throughout the studio, a subsidised vending machine, and we are always trialling new, healthy products.

We know connecting with colleagues is incredibly important whether that’s in person or virtually. So at regular times throughout the month, we host events, breakfasts and more to bring our teams together.

Parental leave and parental pay

To ensure time off with new babies is as rewarding as possible, AKQA offers up to 240 days of parental pay during your parental leave, in addition to the parental benefit provided by the Social Insurance Agency.

Adoption leave

Adoption leave is available for new parents within the first year of adoption, offering the same enhanced payments as full maternity and shared parental.

Pension

We offer a generous pension scheme that employees will be added to from their first day. Yearly meetings are held with consultants to help guide employees through their options.

Life Assurance

As an AKQA employee, you’re automatically enrolled in our Life Assurance scheme. This entitles someone nominated by you to receive a payment of six times your annual salary.

Income protection support

Employees may be eligible for our Permanent Medical Insurance scheme if unable to work due to illness or injury for more than 26 weeks. The scheme pays up to 90% of an annual salary until a return to work is possible.
