Sitecore Content Author - Freelance

Purpose

The Sitecore Content Author will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing digital content within the Sitecore CMS. This role ensures that web content is accurate, visually aligned with design specifications, optimized for SEO, and accessible for all users. The author will also configure navigation and content settings to maintain a seamless and user-friendly website experience.

 

Qualifications and Characteristics

  • Proven experience working with Sitecore or similar content management systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in content publishing.

  • Understanding of SEO best practices and how to apply them in content authoring.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, particularly in writing descriptive alt text for images.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with designers, developers, and SEO specialists.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Role Requirements

  • Create and edit web pages in Sitecore CMS.

  • Author components to match the intended design and layout.

  • Add and format content, including text, images, and supplied SEO metadata.

  • Ensure images are uploaded, formatted correctly, and include descriptive alt text.

  • Configure navigation and page settings to ensure proper site structure and visibility.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure content accuracy, design alignment, and SEO compliance.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
