Be the master, not the slave, of your mind

“It’s your humanness that works as a glue to hold relationships together, not your intellect.”

Following the launch of her book, Sane New World, Ruby Wax – comedian, writer, mental health campaigner and leadership communication specialist – joined AKQA to discuss how we can become the masters, not the slaves, of our minds…

Ruby drew upon her own experience of depression (plus her Masters in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy) to talk about brains – hers and ours. With a better understanding of our brains and their connection with our feelings, we might rewire them to create inner calm in an often frenetic world. Ruby also shared her insights into leadership: how to inspire those around us and persuade people who work together to talk together.
