A winning streak: AKQA wins ten Webby Awards

Nike’s Never Done Evolving has won the Webby Award for Virtual Technical Achievement, alongside Nike’s Runners Helping Runners and Coca-Cola’s Taste the Transformation each winning the Webby People’s Voice Award. AKQA’s work is also recognised with one Honouree and six Nominees.

The Webby Awards is the leading international award honouring excellence on the Internet and recognising influential creators driving conversation at the intersection of technology and culture. Presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, the awards have a judging body of over 2,000 members.

Nike’s Never Done Evolving won the Webby Award for Virtual Technical Achievement, harnessing the power of advanced AI and machine learning to display Serena Williams’ evolution like never before. The work is also a Nominee for Video Technical Achievement and Best Use of Data Driven Media.

Nike’s Runners Helping Runners received the Webby People’s Voice Award for Sports, a global content series to support the running community worldwide, including celebratory localised events, to inspire first-time marathon runners.

In collaboration with Grammy-winning artist Rosalía, Coca-Cola’s Taste the Transformation is honoured with the Webby People’s Voice Award. The award is chosen by the public for the production of the Branded Entertainment Music Video.

The Webby Nominees also include Garena’s Free Fire The Real Airdrop for Best Realtime Experience, Best Community Engagement and Augmented Reality, and Nowdays’ Questionable Laws for Culture and Lifestyle.
